• Provide community outreach and administer the ROADS program with guidance from Advancement Team managers • Accomplish operational and program tasks related to contract-funded project activities • Ensure contract accountability, including data collection, analysis, reporting, billing, purchasing, and system requirements tracking • Create quarterly progress reports for DETR's designated contract manager • Recruit special student populations and conduct student recruitment and retention activities • Manage screening and evaluation of applicants using an online program application • Communicate with students about enrollment, retention, wrap-around services, and community resources • Coordinate and track participant progress • Identify student obstacles through needs assessments and deploy ROADS resources to support students • Serve as the primary contact and advocate for new and continuing students applying for and enrolling in programs and classes • Liaise between students, college services, and processes • Serve as primary employer liaison with HR offices, business owners, and recruiters • Coordinate and promote hiring events and obtain hiring data and job openings • Manage existing and develop new relationships with agencies, individuals, and employers • Interview targeted-industry representatives and inventory their needs and employment offerings • Facilitate one-day or one-shift job shadowing for applicants • Manage relationships with JOIN, Job Connect, and other training and hiring agencies • Train ROADS graduates and community members as volunteer participant mentors • Collaborate with college departments on contract matters, processes, and systems • Develop and deliver outreach, engagement, marketing, social media, and press-release activities • Represent WNC at community events promoting workforce development opportunities • Work from field locations or remotely as requested • Travel within Nevada, including occasional travel to Reno and other WNC campuses
• Bachelor's degree and three years of related professional experience • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree (i.e., AA + 4 years related professional experience) • A minimum of an Associate's degree is required • Ability to model appropriate behaviors that support student success, employer demands, and department culture and vision • Knowledge of trends, needs, and opportunities to leverage WNC strengths • Proficiency with department software and technology • Effective written and oral interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills • Ability to analyze, assess, create solutions and opportunities • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and use strong organizational and project management skills • Ability to work collaboratively with the community, students, staff, and faculty • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision • Self-motivated and able to independently prioritize work • Resume required • Three professional references required • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship • May require a criminal background check • Valid driver's license required for positions that require driving
