📋 Description

• Design, configure, implement, install, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure in O&M plant environments • Maintain and optimize networking systems for efficient, secure, and reliable network performance • Implement and enforce cybersecurity principles and best practices • Monitor traditional, cellular, and satellite network performance, capacity, and security • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues • Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and procedures • Configure and implement routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and security protocols • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical employees • Update IT ticketing and project management systems with detailed task and resolution notes • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, ISPs, and stakeholders on network solutions • Keep current with networking technologies, security practices, and trends • Participate in disaster recovery planning and implementation as needed • Participate in vendor selection and evaluation as needed • Support remote network infrastructure across United States locations, including onsite facilities as needed • Diagnose and resolve technical issues and protect IT and OT environments through cybersecurity practices • Serve as a technical advisor to O&M project teams and management • Maintain commitment to site safety and safe work practices

🎯 Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent • Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineer experience • CCNA or CCNP required • Deep understanding of IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, OSI, and TCP/IP models • Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Starlink, SolarWinds, and Wireshark • Practical knowledge of LAN, firewalls, routers, switches, access points, cybersecurity, and site-safety practices • Strong knowledge of cellular and satellite devices • Time management, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Ability to travel as needed for onsite network support, up to 50% • Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays if necessary • CCIE and/or CISSP highly preferred • Successful candidates must complete a pre-placement background check, drug screen, and physical • Ability to support network infrastructure across the United States
