📋 Description

• Serve as the first point of defense for all network-related incidents, providing 24x7 network support for production and corporate networks • Troubleshoot Layer 1–3 issues and maintain WAN, BGP, ISIS, LAN, FHRP, VLAN, STP, and related services • Proactively monitor production network health, assess risks, and take mitigation actions for quick service restoration • Deliver customer-centric support through multiple communication channels • Create and update SOPs for network change management, issue analysis, and mitigation strategies • Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPN endpoints, and other network hosts and services • Perform network maintenance and upgrades during normal hours and occasionally evenings or weekends • Troubleshoot network issues and outages • Participate in global production and corporate network infrastructure, including edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure • Handle multiple vendor switches on servers for hardware and software issues • Handle traffic and queries raised by ISPs and partners • Support incidents such as input errors, CRC, and RMA issues • Work directly with ISPs and vendors to resolve network issues • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from a four-year college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience • Full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail • Flexibility with shift schedules, including weekend coverage and morning or swing shifts • Ability to work from the Eastern Time Zone starting at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM Pacific Time, or from the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone until 8:00 PM or 9:00 PM Pacific Time • Ability to troubleshoot Layer 1–3 network issues • Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies • Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance and capacity • CCNA or equivalent • Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships • Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices • Ability to perform office-related tasks, including prolonged sitting or standing • Ability to move within an office environment • Ability to use a computer • Ability to communicate effectively • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
