• Oversee California WFP’s public-facing digital communications and design strategy. • Manage day-to-day posting across California WFP social media platforms. • Draft and schedule social media content. • Coordinate posting priorities with California leadership and campaign staff. • Monitor platform activity and respond to or elevate issues as appropriate. • Maintain consistent branding and messaging across platforms. • Provide occasional on-the-ground coverage of WFP events and activations. • Stay up to date on trends and algorithm changes. • Create graphics for social media, organizing campaigns, endorsements, events, and rapid-response communications. • Produce simple motion graphics and short-form video content when needed. • Prepare digital assets using existing templates and branding standards. • Assist with drafting digital communications, including email graphics and promotional materials. • Coordinate with staff to support current electoral and organizing priorities. • Maintain an organized library of digital assets. • Produce rapid-response graphics and social media content during the election period. • Support communications for endorsements, volunteer recruitment, voter engagement, and campaign events. • Work occasional evenings or weekends as required by campaign activities.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Applicants must be based in California. • 3-5 years preferred. • Experience managing organizational social media accounts with high visibility. • Strong graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar platforms. • Ability to produce polished visual content under tight deadlines. • Strong written communication skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced political environment. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Experience in political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or nonprofit communications preferred. • Basic video editing experience preferred. • Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and other social media management tools preferred. • Familiarity with EveryAction, VAN, or similar organizing tools preferred. • Some evening and weekend work should be expected during the election period.
