📋 Description

• Serve as an accounting expert for customers on a project basis • Provide customer project management • Model XBRL mappings using applicable taxonomies, line item concepts, axes, and members • Interpret taxonomy guidance to validate tag choices and extensions • Tag financial statements, notes, schedules, and other required information • Determine whether values represent points in time or periods of time and whether monetary values are debits or credits • Apply financial reporting expertise across stock-based compensation, fair value, derivatives, pensions, income taxes, inventory, investments, property and equipment, comprehensive income, leases, revenue recognition, and accounting standards • Maintain knowledge of taxonomies, SEC regulations, XBRL requirements, and accounting standards • Map financial statements, notes, and schedules to GAAP or IFRS taxonomies • Review accounting policies, statements, notes, and schedules to identify applicable accounting concepts • Understand industry-specific accounting disclosures • Monitor industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements • Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, Marketing, and Learning & Development teams to advance training and standardize changes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field • 2+ years of experience • CPA or CIA certification preferred • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget, and to a high-quality standard • Successful experience working cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment • Sound knowledge of and competency with SEC and SEDAR reporting requirements • Strong U.S. GAAP (or other accounting standards where applicable) acumen and understanding of financial reporting • Understand and interpret taxonomy structure • Demonstrated capacity for self-motivated initiation, execution, and consistent follow-through • Ability to allow for contingencies, prioritize multiple and potentially overlapping customer requirements, and plan filing dates • Willingness to travel, less than 10% travel expected for team and corporate meetings • Reliable internet access when working remotely and not in a Workiva office • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis • Experience working in a CPA firm or financial reporting environment preferred
