WSGR is Wassersportgemeinschaft Rangau e. V. , a community-focused watersports and sailing club based at Brombachsee (Enderndorf) in Germany. 📋 Description

• Manage the Firm’s information security systems and processes under the direction of the Director of Security Engineering and Operations • Assure enforcement of security policies and manage the information security threat lifecycle • Analyze and respond to security events escalated by the Security Operations Center • Coordinate actions to limit risks identified through automated systems • Provide subject matter expertise in information security as it relates to networks and systems • Manage security technology including antivirus, vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, content filtering, and insider threat systems • Review security events from monitoring environments and SOC escalations daily • Follow defined incident response processes for analysis and reporting • Monitor venues for threats to the Wilson Sonsini environment • Notify impacted parties of actions needed to mitigate threats and manage the threat lifecycle • Lead evaluations of the firm’s environment by external third parties and produce business-aligned recommendations • Maintain knowledge of clients’ information security needs and implement efficient measures to satisfy them • Track emerging security technologies and recommend solutions • Design and build scalable, reliable operational environments for security products • Troubleshoot information security tasks and support end users • Provide security consulting services to other teams and assist with specific projects • Perform related duties assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required • 5+ years of experience in Information Security • One or more of the following certifications preferred: GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CIPP • Knowledge of direct support for SIEM systems, Red Teaming concepts and execution, and Linux command line and operational/administrative usage • Extensive knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, PKI, IDAM, antivirus, and firewalls • Knowledge of EDR, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration, deception technologies, and application controls • Experience with Windows desktop, server, and database security • Ability to identify security technology risks and perform incident response • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking including wireless, network monitoring/design, and routing • Extensive understanding of the cyber kill-chain • Experience with cloud computing technologies, including SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS, and public, private, and hybrid environments • Experience working in a law firm or professional services firm environment desired • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
