📋 Description

• Support Principal Investigators throughout the pre-award stage of sponsored projects • Prepare and submit fellowship and training grant proposals • Compile complete grants according to agency and university guidelines • Gather information for non-technical proposal components • Serve as liaison between PIs, DBBS, and Department Administrators • Monitor federal and university developments regarding research administration and complex regulations • Compile and ensure accurate regulatory compliance data • Enter grant budgeting documents online • Obtain PI and institutional signatures for proposal submissions • Provide internal notices of award and sponsor documents to SPA and PIs • Monitor and coordinate annual agency reports, including RPPRs • Coordinate with SPA for accurate and timely budget setup • Manage grant closure and forms processing • Coordinate responses to grant-related information requests • Maintain an online database of grants submitted, awarded, and rejected • Resolve accounting issues and manage year-end processes • Provide fund management and implement necessary budgetary changes • Approve purchasing documents and guide appropriate grant expenditures • Perform other duties as assigned • May travel to conferences or training

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 2 years of relevant experience • Knowledge of RMS (Research Management System) preferred • Knowledge of agency guidelines preferred • Accounting • Adobe Acrobat • Analytical Thinking • Computerized Accounting • Computer Literacy • Deadline Management • Grant Administration • Grant Applications • Microsoft Excel • Microsoft Office • Workday Software • No specific certification/professional license required • A driver's license is not required
