📋 Description

• Perform insurance follow-up billing and collection duties across various financial classifications • Ensure timely and accurate payment of physician charges • Review patient accounts for accurate insurance, eligibility, invoice resolution, correspondence, remittances, additional-information requests, and appropriate handling • Use Epic, system tools, and payer websites for claim submission, claim status, attachments, eligibility, and authorization/referral inquiries • Meet daily Quality Assurance and meaningful-efficiency standards for working invoices/accounts • Follow departmental best practices for one-touch resolution • Interact with management and staff to discuss issues • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor and/or manager

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience • 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting and/or a medical collection setting • Experience with claims resolution, collections strategies, computer literacy, confidential data handling, Epic EHR, health insurance billing, HIPAA, ICD-10 procedure coding system, insurance follow-up, medical billing and coding, medical terminology, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, office equipment, and telephone communications • Must complete applicable pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and other checks as applicable • No specific certification/professional license required • Driver's license is not required
