📋 Description

• Manage pre-award activities and perform post-award activities • Provide research administration oversight, including personnel, payroll, budgeting, and operations management for large and complex divisions/units • Oversee department research administration and identify improvement areas and solutions • Prepare, monitor, analyze, manage, and report research division budgets • Supervise and train staff in grant and contract proposal submissions • Oversee submission and post-award activities of research or clinical trial studies • Supervise payroll, assign payroll to appropriate sources, and implement activity tracking systems • Supervise purchasing to ensure maximum utilization of funds • Prepare and manage annual salary planning • Communicate and administer policies and procedures to faculty and staff • Monitor compliance with internal and external research policies and procedures • Maintain personnel records and oversee employee scheduling, evaluations, and personnel issues • Review applications, conduct interviews, hire, and recommend hiring personnel • Review non-academic appointments and maintain appropriate job descriptions, titles, and salaries • Develop and implement decisions, policies, procedures, best practices, and innovations • Maintain efficient workflow procedures and train staff • Handle public relations and complaints • Serve as liaison between the Department, School, University, outside agencies, and collaborative institutions • Complete special projects for senior leadership • Organize and attend meetings and conferences and participate in committees • Maintain confidential files

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education • 7 years of accounting experience • 3 years of grants administration experience • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily • Master’s degree preferred • Analytical Thinking • Computer Literacy • Decision Making • Independent Judgment • Influencing Skills • Interpersonal Communication • Methodical Problem Solving • Oral Communications • Persuasion • Self-Organization (Business) • Spreadsheets • Supervisory Management • Word Proccessing • Written Communication • No specific certification/professional license is required • A driver's license is not required
