📋 Description

• Evaluate, clinically assess, treat, and progress plans for physician-referred patients with speech, language, hearing, and oral myofunctional disorders • Consult with physicians and the healthcare team regarding patient care • Participate in team, patient-care, and patient/family conferences • Educate physicians and associates regarding speech-language interventions to ensure continuity of care • Complete clinical records, care plans, charge sheets, evaluations, progress reports, discharge summaries, and other required documentation • Perform dysphagia, voice, communication, cognitive, language, and hearing-screen evaluations • Deliver and analyze speech-language interventions according to clinical policies and standards of care • Implement home programs and meet patient/family education needs • Instruct and delegate restorative speech-language programs to nursing staff • Call patients promptly and follow visit patterns • Perform CPR when directed by the patient’s or representative’s wishes • Demonstrate bag technique and maintain equipment according to policy • Follow supply requisition systems • Regularly evaluate plan effectiveness • Coordinate the care team to facilitate changes in level of care • Identify stages of death and dying • Work primarily in patients’ homes and travel extensively across Clarksburg, Morgantown, and Uniontown offices

🎯 Requirements

• Must possess current licensure as required by the state board where services will be provided: WV, PA, OH, or MD Speech-Language Pathologist licensure • CPR certification within 30 days of hire date • Valid driver’s license • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Good initiative and sound judgment in evaluating and delivering speech-language services • Good time management skills • Knowledge of and compliance with safety policies and procedures • Frequent walking, standing, and sitting; ability to position patients for care • Ability to physically demonstrate speech-language interventions • Ability to perform written communication • Adequate visual and hearing acuity • Ability to work primarily in patients’ homes with extensive travel • Preferred: Member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASLHA)
