âą Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities âą Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs âą Provide direct therapy services targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills âą Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational team members to support students' communication goals âą Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into therapy sessions âą Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed âą Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information accurately and timely âą Participate in IEP meetings and provide input regarding students' speech and language needs
âą Active Utah Division of Occupational & Professional Licensing Speech Language Pathology License âą Licensed UT Speech-Language Pathologist âą Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program âą Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting âą Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology âą Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff âą Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail âą Experience in teletherapy or online counseling (preferred) âą Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred) âą Ability to work remotely using computer software and communicate verbally and in writing âą Ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse âą Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
