📋 Description

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan and maintain active participation in a church community • Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development • Partner with the Regional Director and Committee to cast vision for reaching every kid in the metro area • Build unity and provide vision and direction through gatherings with committee, leaders, and staff • Recruit, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate staff and volunteer leaders • Provide quality summer staff, work crew, and adult guests for summer camps • Lead the TDS team and metro committee and oversee the metro budget • Develop and lead fundraising strategy and donor communications • Raise funds and maintain metro areas in surplus • Build the Young Life brand through public relations • Identify and cultivate potential donors for missionwide efforts • Lead or co-lead a model Young Life club and supervise Campaigner ministry • Ensure metro clubs represent the area's diversity and meet ministry standards • Observe and evaluate local schools and ministries annually • Develop and implement plans to maximize Gospel proclamation through camping • Serve on a summer assignment each year • Manage finances, records, communications, strategic plans, and financial master plans • Accept short- and long-term assignments and perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience as a successful area director I or (preferably) area director II • Completion of Core Training — Phase One • Proven relational skills with both kids and adults • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Must profess belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord • Must subscribe to Young Life’s Statement of Faith and required staff policies • Must be able to handle camp-assignment conditions including heat/cold, dirt, long hours, hiking, horseback riding, and boating • College degree preferred
