📋 Description

• Lead data-driven alignment meetings across major business dependencies • Explain complex data narratives clearly to non-technical teams • Connect Snowflake and BigQuery with Claude, Gemini, and OpenAI using APIs and connectors • Automate routine data discovery, anomaly detection, and performance summaries • Develop and optimize Looker Explores and dashboards using LookML • Build actionable reports for Editorial, Sales, and Finance • Dynamically analyze data to identify root causes and category-level trends • Implement validation, monitoring, and reconciliation frameworks across financial and commerce datasets • Drive business discussions and deliver a single version of truth to leadership • Partner with Editorial and SEO teams to optimize content monetization • Work with Product to enhance user conversion funnels • Champion practical AI use internally • Train and mentor the analytics team on generative AI tools, prompt engineering, and database connectors

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a highly consultative data role • Advanced SQL skills and daily hands-on experience querying Snowflake, BigQuery, or GCP • Deep experience with modern BI platforms, including Looker, Tableau, or Power BI • Experience designing complex, user-friendly, and scalable dashboards • Strong Excel skills, including advanced modeling, pivots, and complex formulas • Highly skilled at building executive-level pitch decks using Google Slides or PowerPoint • Practical experience utilizing AI to automate workflows • Experience setting up connectors, writing advanced prompts, and leveraging LLMs such as Claude or Gemini alongside SQL databases • Experience with Looker and LookML is a strong advantage • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills • Ability to translate complex data into clear, non-technical business terms and run meetings with senior stakeholders • Familiarity with e-commerce and site performance metrics, including CVR, CTR, RPV, and traffic sourcing • Familiarity with affiliate marketing networks such as Impact, Partnerize, Rakuten, CJ, or Amazon Associates • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred • Willingness to work on major shopping holidays, including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Prime Day • Ability to work EST hours
