📋 Description

• Set the strategic direction for Zillow’s accounting function • Lead enterprise-wide accounting operations, including close, consolidation, and preparation of external and internal financial statements under US GAAP and applicable regulatory standards • Oversee accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX-compliant processes • Partner with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and business leaders on complex transactions and business initiatives • Evaluate and optimize accounting systems, integrations, and workflows • Develop and manage the accounting organization’s structure, budget, and performance metrics • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing accounting team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 12+ years of progressive accounting experience • 5+ years leading accounting teams • Experience owning accounting close, consolidation, and external reporting processes for a complex or high-growth organization • Experience implementing or enhancing accounting systems, controls, and SOX-compliant processes • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders • Experience in a public company environment and familiarity with SEC reporting requirements preferred • Experience in technology, SaaS, or digital marketplace businesses preferred
