📋 Description

• Maintain configurations for IT security technologies to optimize protective equipment functions and capabilities • Collaborate with IT and network engineers on design review and analysis of network infrastructure modifications • Review firewall and router rules and access control lists • Manage and support PKI infrastructure for user and server authentication • Develop, document, and maintain methodologies for sensitive and critical applications and IT security systems • Draft policies based on NIST, FISMA, PCI, PII, and CJIS compliance • Ensure incident identification, investigation, response, risk management, forensic data collection, and regulatory processes are documented and followed • Develop and maintain scripts, routines, and software for security studies and assessments • Use AI/ML-based detection tools to identify malware, anomalous behavior, and malicious activity • Monitor intrusion detection systems, firewall logs, AI-driven behavioral analytics, and SIEM platforms; coordinate mitigation responses • Perform security assessments, risk identification, mitigation planning, and execution • Lead vulnerability management and participate in patch and risk management processes • Participate in emergency operations and the Computer Security Incident Response Team • Deploy and manage AI-powered SIEM, EDR, and UEBA platforms • Evaluate AI-driven attack vectors and develop countermeasures • Research IT security topics, AI/ML security tooling, generative AI risks, and emerging threats • Assist with cyber training and awareness programs, including AI-specific threat scenarios • Integrate and manage AI-powered security automation workflows, alert triage, threat hunting playbooks, and incident response runbooks • Develop and enforce an AI Acceptable Use Policy and apply data loss prevention controls to AI interactions • Perform AI risk assessments with IT and business teams, evaluating model security, data privacy, and supply chain risks • Perform other duties as required to support the business

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED • BS in Information Technology or equivalent technical discipline • Three (3) to five (5) years of direct Cyber Engineer or information assurance experience • Strong experience with market-standard Vulnerability Assessment tools and AI-powered security platforms, such as Darktrace, CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar • Experience with network monitoring, network security, network equipment programming, firewall configurations, DLP solutions, log monitoring, and event correlation • Experience with policy and process documentation • Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and LDAP • System hardening experience using STIGs, CIS, or USGCB • Security Incident Response experience • Strong oral and written communication abilities, including policy writing • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills • Ability to serve as a technical resource to IT staff • Practical experience using AI/ML-powered security tools or SOAR platforms for threat detection, automated response, or security analytics • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and security risks associated with enterprise deployment of generative AI and LLM applications • Currently authorized to work in the US for any employer; sponsorship is not available • Preferred: CISM, CISA, CRIS, CISSP, Security+, similar certification, AWS/Azure/GCP Security Specialty certification, or AI/ML security training
