📋 Description

• Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and related documents for active litigation files • Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action • Advocate for client interests in various litigation settings • Use internal proprietary software to update and document account status in assigned inventory • Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files as assigned by the Managing Attorney • Ensure litigation workflow complies with firm and client expectations • Comply with client and firm standard operating procedures • Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required • Prepare for and represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials • Develop case strategy, draft pleadings, conduct discovery, and present oral arguments • Negotiate settlements with consumers and their legal representatives • Evaluate case merits, assess risk exposure, and provide strategic legal recommendations • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and court procedures • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Washington • Willing to be waived into Alaska • Strong organizational and time management skills • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Highly motivated self-starter • Eagerness to learn • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload • Ability to communicate verbally and/or in writing with individuals or groups in a common language • Ability to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device • Ability to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule • Ability to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence • Ability to lift five pounds or greater • Ability to sit 90% of the workday at times • Ability to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed • Ability to concentrate and use critical thinking
