📋 Description

• Translate medical, pharmaceutical, administrative, commercial, advertising, and media-related texts from English into French • Review various texts, primarily in French • Preserve the content, meaning, and intent of source texts • Translate and review a wide range of documents, including highly scientific and high-visibility materials • Review internal and external vendor translations to ensure consistency and appropriate terminology • Collaborate on planning, prioritizing, and managing translation and review requests • Advise internal clients and colleagues to optimize translated materials • Consult with clients and colleagues to translate content in specialized fields • Create and maintain glossaries, lexicons, and editorial standards • Collaborate on the management of computer-assisted translation tools and monitor innovations • Liaise with translation service providers and strategic internal clients • Develop initiatives that promote the use of French, including those held as part of Francofête • Participate in activities related to the company's French-language compliance obligations • Collaborate on the drafting and management of management and operational documents for Language Services • Represent AbbVie Canada's interests before AbbVie’s various global organizations • Collaborate on optimizing the use of resources • Propose pragmatic solutions to business problems • Support change and innovation across the company's strategic functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BA) in English-to-French translation or equivalent • Relevant experience and strong knowledge of the health or life sciences sector; biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry experience is an asset • Minimum 10 years of experience translating from English into French • Minimum 5 years of experience in comparative English-to-French revision • Experience translating, updating, and reviewing product monographs for drugs and medical devices • Professional designation (OTTIAQ, ATIO, or equivalent) is an asset • Exceptional attention to detail and strong commitment to language value and quality • Strategic thinking and planning skills • Ability to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines • Excellent command of industry phrasing and terminology • Comfortable using technology and workplace tools and systems • Knowledge of LogiTerm is an asset • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) • Fluent French, very strong command of English, strong writing skills, and impeccable style • Ability to work in a multinational organization • Strong analytical and business problem-solving skills • Strategic insight and precision in verbal and written communications • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and managers • Advanced English proficiency is required for this position
