📋 Description

• Support employees during work-related injury absences • Evaluate obstacles to prompt return to work • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions • Facilitate return to work or an alternative plan • Meet with clients to address workplace injuries • Manage workplace injury claims and minimize time-loss and claim costs through early intervention and proactive coordination of services • Maintain regular communication with clients, injured workers, and provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards • Liaise with provincial Workers’ Compensation Boards • Review claim files • Interpret provincial workers’ compensation legislation, policies, and procedures • File reports of injury, identify appeal issues, and draft letters of objection • Coordinate case management activities, including developing, implementing, and monitoring return-to-work and rehabilitation strategies • Facilitate third-party interventions, including functional capacity evaluations and independent medical evaluations

🎯 Requirements

• Work experience in a workers’ compensation claims management capacity is an asset • Knowledge of workers’ compensation statutes, policies and procedures, and workplace health and safety is an asset • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook • Education in a related field, human resources, health and safety, and/or an insurance certificate-designation is an asset • Significant claims management experience may be considered in the absence of the listed qualifications • A paralegal license is required • Must have work authorization in Canada that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship • Successful completion of a background check, as applicable to the position • Ability to participate in video interviews; camera-on culture • May require occasional travel to a physical office location
