📋 Description

• Handle and adjust moderate to high complex claims • Investigate, negotiate and settle medium–high complexity claims by telephone and written correspondence • Interpret insurance policy wordings, determine policy coverages and reserves • Document claim files with notes, evaluations and decision-making process • Ensure prompt and equitable settlement of claims by following prescribed and recommended processes • Process payments within established authority levels • Negotiate with insureds, claimants and insurers • Identify, recommend and implement changes or enhancements to claim policies, practices and procedures as requested by the manager • Meet productivity, customer service and quality objectives for National Claims and the discipline • Communicate empathetically with customers and guide them through the claim process • Negotiate claim settlements in accordance with business unit standard methodologies • Participate in Queue Responsibility • Provide guidance to Claims Assistants • Work as part of the National Catastrophe Claims team to meet ACG and Claim Department performance requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years' experience handling medium to large loss complex residential property claims • CIP Designation, or currently enrolled • Experience adjusting single peril auto claims • IICRC Certification, or enrollment • HAAG Certification, or enrollment • Ability to review, critique and negotiate reconstruction estimates • Proficient with Xactimate and Guidewire • Stratum 1 Information Processing Capability • Ability to handle high volume of claims, approximately 125+ pending • Bilingualism considered an asset
