Alto is a project and organization developing a dedicated high-speed passenger rail network along the Toronto–Québec City corridor. The plan calls for roughly 1,000 km of mainly electrified tracks with speeds around 300 km/h to shorten travel times, stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Alto is actively engaged in public and Indigenous consultation, property acquisition, procurement, and pre-construction research to deliver a major national infrastructure program that aligns with government net-zero and reconciliation commitments.

📋 Description

• Conduct outbound calls to patients recently discharged from the ER • Support inbound calls from patients interested in the program • Assist with scheduling appointments • Handle patient questions • Transfer patients to appropriate UHG departments when applicable • Perform administrative tasks supporting patient care coordination • Collaborate with team members and the provider network to maintain excellent patient care and high-quality service • Become an expert in software solutions including EMR, Slack, and Five9

🎯 Requirements

• Strong computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records • Ability to speak and write effectively at a high school graduate level • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions • Customer service skills in interactions with patients, families, and staff, including in high-volume and stressful situations • Ability to work independently and as part of the patient care team • Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures • High School Diploma or GED equivalent • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training, such as military medic or EMT • 1–2 years of experience with healthcare-related customer support • Telehealth experience preferred • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods and perform the stated physical requirements, including moving light objects up to 20 pounds
