• Lead and support multidisciplinary teams preparing and delivering scoping studies, preliminary economic assessments, pre-feasibility studies, and feasibility studies • Manage the full scope of technical studies • Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget • Integrate technical, permitting, and financial analyses to maximize project value • Steer complex studies through clients’ stage-gate processes • Develop and apply study management techniques • Serve as Qualified Person or Competent Person on relevant study sections under NI 43-101, SEC S-K 1300, and JORC • Coordinate project site reviews as required • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, change management, meetings, scheduling, budget estimation, and workload estimation • Conduct business development activities to identify and pursue mining study opportunities • Provide training and mentorship to team members • Coordinate domestic or international fieldwork and travel as needed
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, metallurgy, geology, or a related minerals industry discipline • Minimum of 10 years of relevant study experience • Solid understanding of technical reporting standards (S-K 1300, NI 43-101, and JORC) • Solid understanding of study project execution, including PEA, PFS, and FS • Demonstrated leadership skills in project management and/or project development • Demonstrated project organization and management skills • Experience with cost and financial modeling and CAPEX/OPEX estimation • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.), Registered Member (SME or MMSA), or similar registration to support role as Qualified Person (QP) or Competent Person (CP) • Proficiency in Excel and MS Project or similar scheduling program • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite • Familiarity with CAD drawing reviews such as Adobe or Bluebeam • Familiarity with mine planning and modelling software packages • Current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record • Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship by Barr Ltd., now or in the future • Ability to work in rough terrain, exploration areas, construction sites, and minerals industry facilities • Experience working at mining and/or mineral processing operations preferred • Relevant experience with EPC/EPCM, mining construction, or successful studies completion preferred • Business development experience preferred
