• Provides support for operational processes ensuring timely and accurate settlement of Security, Derivative, Foreign Exchange, and Money Market transactions executed globally • Confirms activity is accurately recorded in the bank’s book of records • Supports pre- and post-settlement processes related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization • Supports specialized operations including Asset Servicing, corporate actions/entitlements, Correspondent Banking Services, and Wire Payment Operations • Ensures compliance with regulatory topics and reporting requirements • Gathers and formats data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards • Supports change management execution and sustainment activities • Organizes work information for accuracy and completeness • Executes service requests, transactions, and queries within service level agreements • Follows documented policies and procedures and checks and reconciles information and documentation • Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations • Identifies and resolves issues and discrepancies, dealing directly with clients and escalating as required • Communicates and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders • Maintains stakeholder relationships to fulfill service delivery expectations • Understands regulatory requirements and operational risks and maintains operational integrity • Collaborates on development and implementation of new processes and systems and improvements to existing ones • Supports development of tools and delivery of training • Completes complex and diverse tasks and handles escalations from other employees • Analyzes issues and determines next steps • Applies BMO’s Risk Management Framework, Risk Culture, and approved Risk Appetite while protecting assets and complying with policies, laws, and regulations
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply • Recent post-secondary graduates with a strong interest in financial operations, corporate actions, or investment services are encouraged to apply • Exposure to reconciliation processes and/or accounting principles is considered an asset • Basic understanding of Corporate Actions, particularly income events • Good knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology • Good knowledge and understanding of the business unit’s key products and services, processes and controls • Good knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business • Good prioritization skills • Good customer service skills • Good PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Specialized knowledge • Good verbal and written communication skills • Good organization skills • Good collaboration and team skills • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
