📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient AWS cloud infrastructure using compute, networking, storage, serverless, and managed platform services • Review and assist in architecting AWS solutions for scalability, security, governance, and cost efficiency • Review and maintain reusable cloud patterns, foundational components, and reference architectures • Support serverless and container-based workloads using AWS-native services • Troubleshoot and maintain infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and CDK • Review and assist in developing reusable IaC modules and templates • Develop and maintain policy as code using Rego policies and helper functions • Review and enhance automated controls for provisioning, configuration management, and environmental consistency • Review and maintain AWS IAM authentication and authorization models • Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams on design reviews and regulatory adherence • Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch and AWS observability services • Ensure operational visibility through traces, metrics, logs, dashboards, and runbooks • Optimize AWS workloads for performance, scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency • Ensure operational readiness, including backup and recovery considerations • Guide software engineering teams on cloud onboarding, implementation best practices, and architecture decisions • Support PoC/MVP and production-ready AWS solution implementation • Promote engineering standards, reusable patterns, and automation-first delivery practices • Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering standards

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in production environments • AWS Serverless mandatory, or expertise in Containers • Implementation experience with several AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Cognito, Service Catalog, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, EventBridge, S3, RDS, and Step Functions; support or DevOps experience is not relevant • AWS Containers mandatory, or expertise in Serverless • Implementation experience with Docker, ECS Fargate, ECR, and EFS; support or DevOps experience is not relevant • Event-driven architecture patterns using SNS, SQS, or EventBridge mandatory • Scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, or Python mandatory, at least one; extensive software development experience is an alternative • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work autonomously and drive cloud services end-to-end • Effective communication and collaboration across diverse engineering and business teams • Customer-focused mindset • Ability to mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering standards • AWS certifications preferred, such as AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect Associate/Professional • CloudFormation, CDK, Liquibase, and GitHub Actions/Reusable Workflows nice to have • Software development experience nice to have • Experience designing and implementing PoC/MVP end-to-end AWS-based solutions nice to have
