📋 Description

• Lead stakeholder engagements to understand mission objectives, operational challenges, current-state workflows, and future-state needs • Document business requirements, functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows • Analyze sustainment, logistics, maintenance, supply, and readiness processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities • Translate mission and operational needs into system, reporting, and data requirements for technical teams • Support prioritization, scope definition, and impact analysis for system enhancements, integrations, and process changes • Partner with product, operations, architecture, data science, and engineering teams to define solution options and recommend approaches • Map processes, handoffs, and system interactions across sustainment workflows • Identify business rules, decision points, exceptions, and downstream impacts • Support the design of integrations, workflow automation, and operational reporting capabilities • Collaborate with data engineers and developers on data mapping, ETL/ELT design, validation, and reporting requirements • Write and optimize SQL queries for analysis, troubleshooting, and data validation • Define business logic, metrics, and data definitions for dashboards and reports • Assist with integration of enterprise and mission-support systems • Define and support UAT scenarios, test cases, and business validation criteria • Validate delivered solutions against mission and operational requirements • Maintain requirements, process maps, data dictionaries, traceability matrices, SOPs, and runbooks • Support stakeholder communication, change management, training, and adoption • Support data standards, controls, and process consistency • Identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and issues • Lead or support cross-functional workstreams and liaise between mission users and technical teams • Mentor junior team members and support consistent business analysis and documentation practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst • Strong experience in business systems analysis, requirements gathering, and process documentation • Experience mapping current-state and future-state workflows • Ability to translate mission or operational needs into functional and technical requirements • Experience supporting UAT, issue triage, and implementation readiness • Strong stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments • Advanced SQL skills for analysis, validation, and troubleshooting • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik • Working knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and data quality practices • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Splunk, AWS, Databricks, Azure Synapse, etc. • Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and enterprise system integrations • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Git, and Agile delivery methods • Must consent to the Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment • Must not pose a risk to the safeguarding of controlled goods • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance • Must be eligible to handle U.S. export-controlled data • Experience supporting military, defense, sustainment, logistics, maintenance, or readiness-focused programs preferred • Experience in government or contractor environments supporting digital transformation preferred • Experience in a senior or lead business systems analyst role preferred • Experience mentoring analysts or helping establish business analysis standards and practices preferred • Strong communication skills across mission, business, and technical audiences • Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving ability • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver independently • Strong ownership, accountability, and follow-through • Collaborative mindset and ability to influence without authority • Must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level II security clearance • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
