📋 Description

• Serve as a trusted financial advisor to a portfolio of clients • Build strong client relationships, understand business goals, and deliver responsive, value-added financial leadership • Review financial statements, reporting packages, and key analyses for accuracy, completeness, and compliance • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, cash flow management, and financial reporting across multiple client engagements • Participate in budgeting and forecasting exercises • Lead client engagements and coordinate accountants and accounting specialists • Mentor and support less experienced team members through coaching, knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and work review • Resolve complex accounting, reporting, and operational challenges for clients • Improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial operations • Collaborate across the firm to share best practices and support client success • Manage multiple client relationships and priorities while maintaining high service standards

🎯 Requirements

• CPA or CPA candidate • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a range of small and mid-sized organizations • Experience in a controller-level role with an accounting or bookkeeping firm, managing a portfolio of clients • Experience as an accounting supervisor or team lead • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.) • Knowledge of cloud-based accounting packages • Driven to do things right and take a constructive approach to solving problems • Enthusiasm for the work and desire to help clients succeed • Authorization to work on a full-time basis for any employer in Canada
