📋 Description

• Communicate daily and on an ongoing basis with the Program Manager / Associate Program Manager regarding new and existing projects • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of rare disease program offerings, including disease/product pathophysiology, therapeutic areas, disease processes, mechanisms of action, and the application of rare disease SOPs • Apply knowledge of public, private, and federal funding mechanisms and rare disease funding bodies in the United States and Canada • Coordinate cases with physicians and healthcare professionals to prepare submissions that meet payer specifications and criteria • Coordinate and manage all aspects required to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals to maximize reimbursement solutions • Navigate the lobbying process to obtain prescription drug coverage and reimbursement for life-saving and costly medications • Coordinate documents, submissions, and related paperwork with insurance companies and public and federal funding programs • Implement financial means tests to maximize patients’ prescription drug coverage • Coordinate pharmacy processes after funding has been obtained • Report adverse events to the assigned units/departments • Perform other duties and tasks as required

🎯 Requirements

• Postsecondary education or equivalent in a related discipline • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a customer service setting, including at least one (1) year in the pharmaceutical, insurance, or healthcare-related industries • Previous experience in reimbursement and knowledge of public, private, and federal reimbursement programs required • Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Bilingualism in French and English required • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Strong attention to detail • Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner • Proven ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing deadlines • Ability to communicate with patients in a healthcare setting about highly sensitive topics • Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical or insurance industry • Strong business and financial acumen • Strong analytical and mathematical skills • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing • Effective interpersonal and leadership skills • Effective organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to consistently meet deadlines • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently • Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry • Working knowledge of automated warehouse operating systems • Excellent presentation skills • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office programs
