📋 Description

• Build highly scalable distributed solutions across the full stack • Enable intuitive user experiences and measurable business growth • Ensure system reliability, performance, and operational excellence • Add tests, telemetry, and alerting systems • Own projects from conception through production release • Influence, facilitate, and collaborate across different teams • Partner with engineering managers, product managers, and collaborators to define team direction based on engineering and business priorities • Solve software defects, networking issues, and customer-reported problems • Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability • Bring Meraki Dashboard features to the Cisco Catalyst family

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field and 12+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years • 3+ years of professional coding experience with web backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails or similar • Experience with Go, Ruby, or Python • Experience safely rolling services out to customers using feature flags, A/B tests, and similar techniques • Experience making architectural and system design choices • Ability to communicate trade-offs and coach other team members • Experience with emulation and simulation of networking devices • Project leadership experience, including defining project stepping stones from loosely defined business problems and identifying progress metrics • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile engineering team and across all stack layers • Experience with networking devices • Experience with Cisco CML • Experience with systems software design or large-scale distributed networking solutions • Experience working across cross-functional or geographically distributed engineering teams
