📋 Description

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs on Splunk Cloud Platform • Drive technical execution by partnering with engineers, engineering managers, and architects • Define solutions, resolve engineering challenges, and deliver reliable features • Develop monitoring and AI-powered capabilities, including proactive issue detection, intelligent diagnostics, and automated remediation • Build integrations involving metrics, events, logs, and traces • Contribute to cross-organizational strategic initiatives • Ensure production reliability through troubleshooting and incident resolution • Participate in a scheduled 24/7 on-call rotation • Improve data ingestion health, service availability, customer experience, and engineering outcomes

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience; or a master’s degree and 6+ years; or a PhD and 3+ years of relevant experience • Experience designing, developing, and operating backend services or applications in a public cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Experience architecting or developing scalable distributed systems, including designing for performance, reliability, and high-volume workloads • Hands-on software development experience building backend applications, services, or APIs using Python, Go, or Java • Experience providing technical leadership on software engineering projects, including system design, technical decision-making, and guiding implementation or delivery • Experience developing or operating production SaaS platforms, including observability, monitoring, incident response, or service reliability practices • Experience with Splunk, log analytics, telemetry pipelines, data ingestion systems, or similar large-scale data platforms • Full-stack development experience, including building web applications or user interfaces using React or similar JavaScript frameworks • Experience designing or implementing AI-powered capabilities, automated diagnostics, remediation workflows, or intelligent operational tooling • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or coding agents to support software engineering, testing, troubleshooting, or developer productivity
