📋 Description

• Translate briefs, scripts, and product concepts into storyboards and animatics for SaaS explainer videos • Apply composition, typography, visual storytelling, pacing, and visual craft to every frame • Partner with script writers, motion graphic designers, and producers to provide actionable blueprints for animators • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Product, and Demand Generation on project goals and business objectives • Create rough frames for rapid ideation and polished boards for stakeholder sign-off • Incorporate creative review feedback and iterate on storyboards • Apply Clio’s brand and visual standards consistently • Build reusable storyboard templates, frameworks, and visual conventions • Contribute to the Creative Design Team’s Multimedia team during the pre-production stage

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in storyboarding, visual development, or concept design, ideally for explainer videos, animation, or motion content • Strong portfolio demonstrating clear, well-paced visual sequences from scripts or briefs • Proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or dedicated storyboard software such as Boords • Comfort integrating AI tools into the design workflow • Strong design fundamentals in composition, hierarchy, typography, and framing • Understanding of how design principles translate into motion and video • Ability to make abstract or technical software concepts clear to non-technical audiences • Experience working from scripts and voiceover, mapping narration to on-screen visuals and timing • Experience working within a brand system • Strong organization and proactive communication • Ability to work independently and manage time within a contract engagement • Ability to adapt to feedback and shifting priorities
