📋 Description

• Implement, test, and ship small to medium-sized features end to end across the Django monolith and associated services • Own a module or component within larger projects led by senior and staff engineers • Contribute to and maintain the TypeScript, Bun, and Hono document microservice backed by PostgreSQL and S3-compatible storage on Kubernetes • Improve admin portal and internal tooling for scheduling, eligibility debugging, and billing workflows • Collaborate with senior engineers to clarify requirements and surface technical risk • Diagnose and permanently fix production bugs • Participate in production support rotation and triage issues by patient impact • Make careful, reviewed production data corrections in HIPAA-regulated systems • Identify and resolve technical debt • Review teammates' code • Write documentation and runbooks • Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code in daily engineering work

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience • Hands-on Python and Django experience, including Django REST Framework APIs and the Django ORM • Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL), including non-trivial SQL • Solid testing habits and experience with automated test suites and CI • Demonstrated debugging skill, from vague report to reproducible cause • Clear written communication for documentation, runbooks, and cross-functional work • Openness to learning TypeScript and modern JavaScript runtime tooling on the job • Proficiency with AI development tools and judgment to verify their output • Experience shipping features independently once given a clear goal • Bonus qualifications include TypeScript, Bun, Hono, AWS, S3, Secrets Manager, IAM, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo Rollouts, Terraform, GitHub Actions, OpenTelemetry, HIPAA/regulated environments, healthcare billing, HL7, FHIR, Redis, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Celery, Kafka, and clinical integrations
