📋 Description

• Serve as the embedded clinical partner to a product pod, liaising between clinical, product, and engineering teams • Bring systems-based, root-cause medicine principles into the product • Partner with Engineering to design and run evaluations of AI systems • Define clinically meaningful outputs, quality thresholds, rubrics, and stress-test cases • Translate clinical reasoning into technical specifications, including prompts, context engineering, and clinical logic • Partner with engineers to identify where and how clinical expertise must be embedded in AI systems • Own the clinical quality bar for AI product areas from kickoff through launch validation and ongoing monitoring • Flag when product behavior must evolve as evidence, guidelines, or the clinical standard of care shift • Evaluate AI outputs incorporating blood biomarkers, wearables, omics, imaging, and gut microbiome data • Inspect AI-generated outputs for inaccuracies, omissions, and harmful content

🎯 Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent clinical doctorate • Hands-on clinical practice and expertise in functional medicine • Real clinical responsibility for patients • Deep expertise in one or more clinical domains • Understanding of the systems medicine approach to health • Strong clinical reasoning under timeline pressure and over long, dense tasks • Ability to distinguish established, plausible, and speculative information • Curiosity about AI systems and demonstrated ability to learn technical skills quickly • Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt clinical information for engineers, PMs, designers, and members • Track record of owning something end-to-end in a cross-functional setting and driving it to completion • Comfortable with ambiguous and complex tasks and operating autonomously under uncertainty on 0-to-1 projects • Ability to know when to ask for support • Hands-on clinical practice • Expertise in functional medicine
