📋 Description

• Conduct face-to-face sales to new customers and manage assigned existing-customer relationships • Identify cross-selling, upselling, and repeat-sales opportunities • Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions • Develop and deliver sales bids, proposals, and presentations • Conduct product demonstrations • Develop medium- to long-term sales plans and strategies to protect, grow, and diversify targeted customer relationships • Prepare strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts • Direct, leverage, and guide the work of others and mobilize resources • Monitor and achieve operational and financial results • Manage hiring, termination, rewards, training, and employee development actions • Manage experienced professionals and/or supervisors • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to meet short-term challenges • Advise subordinates to meet schedules and resolve technical problems • Interpret and administer policies, processes, and procedures • Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements; may manage budgets • Interact with internal personnel and external representatives and present at meetings • Follow Safe Quality Food procedures and report unsafe conditions or customer complaints • Participate in SQF root-cause analysis and corrective actions

🎯 Requirements

• BA degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation • Ability to travel easily to Canada if based in the Northeast United States • Experience managing experienced professionals and/or supervisors • Knowledge of sales, account management, customer needs assessment, proposals, presentations, and product demonstrations • Ability to develop medium- to long-term sales plans and profitable account strategies • Ability to monitor operational and financial results • People-management capabilities including hiring, terminating, rewarding, training, and developing employees • Understanding of business integration across departments • Basic knowledge of other disciplines • Ability to follow Safe Quality Food, plant, hygiene, and allergen procedures • Ability to report unsafe food conditions and customer complaints • Ability to participate in SQF root-cause and corrective actions
