📋 Description

• Architect, build, and maintain backend applications and systems for routing, task allocation, fulfillment tracking, and shopper compensation • Lead technical design for high-impact projects and initiatives • Solve logistics problems across the consumer marketplace and enterprise space through shipped features • Ensure Tier-0 systems are reliable and observable with clear ownership • Drive platform best practices through alignment with product, compliance, and engineering stakeholders • Use AI-assisted tooling and workflows to improve day-to-day productivity • Mentor engineers toward higher standards for code quality, testing, and operational practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience • Fluency in at least one backend language; Ruby, Python, and Go are used, but Ruby experience is not required • Strong working knowledge of services/API design (REST/RPC), databases, and distributed scalable system design patterns and principles • Experience building and operating asynchronous, event-driven systems in production • Excellent communication skills in complex cross-functional and highly collaborative environments • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Preferred: experience with fulfillment, logistics, or e-commerce software • Preferred: experience with workflow orchestration or state machines • Preferred: regular use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex • Preferred: experience with regulatory or financial compliance systems
