📋 Description

• Accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean ledgers • Identify and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies • Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure clients’ books are accurate and up to date • Serve as the main point of contact for small business-owner clients • Communicate professionally and clearly via chat, email, and phone • Explain financial information in an accessible manner • Identify and resolve client concerns proactively • Own the client experience from start to finish • Collaborate with internal teams using Salesforce and Slack

🎯 Requirements

• QuickBooks Online Certification is required (active certification) • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation • 1+ years of customer-facing or client service experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients • Excellent spoken and written English proficiency • Strong customer service mindset • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience • Must be based in the Johannesburg area • Available to work North American business hours (9 AM–5 PM PST) • Must meet Bench’s minimum hardware and internet requirements
