📋 Description

• Cleanse and transform raw data into business logic for reports and data models • Analyze raw data and recommend data sources for business needs • Ensure the right data reaches the right people at the right time • Collaborate with the Central Data Team to build data pipelines according to shared best practices and design • Feed data models for usage • Champion data quality and usability across Financial Services • Ensure data and documentation availability, quality, and searchability • Write clean, maintainable, high-performing, well-structured queries and scripts using version control and CI/CD • Automate data-model testing and add validations • Help define and improve internal standards for data models and infrastructure • Explain intermediate to complex information to team members • Maintain or develop simple reports or dashboards in Looker • Collaborate with Application Engineering, Product, Operations, Risk, Finance, and other functions

🎯 Requirements

• Located in Canada • Able to work within EST/EDT hours • Experience with data pipelines • Familiarity with data modeling • Experience with SQL and Python coding (or equivalent language) • Experience with MPP data warehouse; BigQuery experience • Experience with dbt or Dataform • Experience in data profiling, data mapping, and data quality validation • Experience with a data orchestrator • Understanding of industry standards for data warehousing and data modelling • Knowledge of data environments; GCP experience • Knowledge of containerization solutions • Experience with source control, CI/CD, and automated testing • Security mindset and ability to work with compliance protocols (SOX, GDPR) • Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Excellent problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and in teams • Self-motivated and able to take initiative • Fluency in English as a working language is required • Criminal record check as part of the hiring process
