📋 Description

• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing software development team in the Financial Services organization • Manage a team solving complex problems in the Financial Services domain • Work with Staff/Principal Engineers, P&T Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and roadmaps • Partner with the Product Manager to set annual and quarterly OKRs and roadmaps and ensure successful execution • Review and provide feedback on technical designs and ensure high-quality system design and implementation • Identify, communicate and remove delivery impediments and risks • Support individual professional growth through 1-1s, performance reviews, feedback, goal-setting and promotions • Report team progress and status to Product/Engineering leadership and stakeholders • Participate in hiring for the team and wider organization • Cultivate an inclusive, inspiring working culture • Deliver mission-critical Financial Services products and services

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading a team of developers through successful delivery of software products • Experience delivering microservice-driven, scalable, cloud-based applications • Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP • Strong working knowledge of Java, TypeScript, Ruby or Python • Experience partnering closely with Product Managers to build objectives and roadmaps • Experience leading, triaging and resolving critical incidents, and transforming post-incident insights into preventive corrective actions • Professional experience in agile development and continuous delivery best practices • Strong written and verbal English communication skills • Ability to coach, mentor and drive individuals and teams • Strong passion for continuous learning and improvement • Quality-driven mindset focused on software scalability and resilience • Must be located in Canada and able to work within EST/EDT hours • Experience in Payments domain (bonus) • Experience building scalable SaaS solutions (bonus) • Experience in full-stack web application development (bonus) • Experience in test automation and/or DevOps engineering (bonus)
