📋 Description

• Lead the technical direction for payment processing, fraud prevention, and financial-data platforms • Define and ship new capabilities with Backend and Mobile engineers • Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data Scientists, Support, and Finance • Build robust platforms that process millions of transactions • Optimize the customer payment flow • Enable specialized payment capabilities for local markets • Build tools to improve financial efficiency • Monitor system health and use data analytics to understand customer success • Respond to production incidents, outages, and critical alerts during on-call shifts • Troubleshoot issues, escalate incidents, and collaborate to restore service • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to service reliability improvements • Document issues and reduce recurring incidents • Participate in mentorship, learning activities, and shaping Lime's Engineering culture

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience • Track record of building impactful products or systems • Experience shipping software and solving problems at scale in payment processing, accounting, or fraud mitigation • Ability to define enabling architectures and lead technical direction • Ability to deliver large outcomes through the work of many engineers • Data-driven approach, including instrumenting work and reasoning through customer data • Excellent communication skills and effective management of competing priorities • Customer-focused approach to understanding and solving customer problems • Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting production systems • Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage while on call • Learning mindset regarding AI tools for software development • Enthusiasm for Lime's mission and micromobility
