📋 Description

• Lead and develop the revenue accounting team • Manage direct reports, set priorities, allocate work, review deliverables, and provide coaching and feedback • Oversee global revenue recognition under IFRS 15, including complex contract assessments, performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and timing of recognition • Manage percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting, including project reviews, revenue recognition, unbilled receivables, and deferred revenue • Oversee accounting assessments involving non-standard shipping terms, discount incentives, and Software Assurance contracts • Oversee revenue-related close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and unbilled receivable and deferred revenue balances • Resolve aged items and discrepancies and maintain effective internal controls and documentation • Prepare financial statement notes, including revenue disclosures, and contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables • Research complex transactions and accounting issues and prepare and review technical accounting memos documenting IFRS analysis, judgements, and conclusions • Partner with Sales, Operations, Legal, regional finance teams, and external auditors to resolve accounting and reporting matters • Identify, evaluate, and help implement practical AI and automation use cases across revenue accounting and financial reporting

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a CPA designation • Progressive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting, including direct people management and team development • Strong IFRS expertise, particularly IFRS 15, complex revenue arrangements, and percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting • Demonstrated experience preparing financial statement notes and preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting conclusions and collaborate across functions • Proficiency in Excel and ERP/reporting systems (SAP experience is an asset) • Ability to manage competing deadlines and drive process improvements • Experience applying AI or automation tools to accounting workflows, or a demonstrated ability to evaluate practical use cases, is an asset
