📋 Description

• Lead talented engineers to accomplish strategic goals aligned with services, features, and functionality for core products • Drive the planning, execution, and communication of appliance releases • Identify and implement improvements to release processes, tools, methodologies, customer-facing interfaces, and processes • Use deep technical expertise to guide architecture and strategic direction of appliance software and internal tooling • Collaborate with engineering, product, customer success, sales, and support teams to align release schedules and priorities • Monitor the health and performance of Envysion connected devices deployed to customers, identify trends, and address issues promptly • Manage software and QA engineers to accomplish established goals • Manage cross-border hybrid/remote engineering teams, balancing asynchronous workflows with real-time collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Release Manager, or similar role working on cloud-managed video solutions • Successful leadership of software and QA engineers • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience • 4+ years of leading/people management experience • Bachelor’s degree • Experience with relational databases, JavaScript, C++, and React • Understanding of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and RESTful APIs helpful • Familiarity with video streaming technologies such as HLS • Working understanding of AI inference engines such as YOLO and OpenCV • Experience leveraging AI tools and identifying and implementing AI-driven opportunities in software development workflows • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on root cause analysis and prevention • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate across departments and manage distributed cross-border teams • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, stable releases • Experience with surveillance video camera hardware is a bonus • Familiarity with physical access control systems or security products is a bonus • Familiarity with Tableau or QuickSight is a bonus • Experience with Linux OS customization, kernel updates, disk storage management, filesystem resiliency, hardware test labs, physical test rig automation, test bench setup, and camera/sensor interoperability testing is a bonus
