📋 Description

• Lead North America payroll operations for approximately 800 U.S. and Canadian employees • Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance • Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements • Own payroll issue resolution while collaborating with internal and external partners • Partner with People Operations, Benefits, and external vendors on benefit deductions and payroll-related transactions • Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll best practices, laws, and system capabilities • Identify opportunities to standardize and scale payroll processes and procedures • Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s, T4s, tax filings, and audits • Mentor and guide the Payroll Administrator • Provide payroll reporting and analysis and participate in cross-functional initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting Finance or related field AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls, OR equivalent combination of education • Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations • Experience with payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred • Strong customer service focus with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and partner with key stakeholders • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity • Experience working in cross-functional environments • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is a plus • Commitment to Mozilla values: welcoming differences, being relationship-minded, practicing responsible participation, and having grit
