📋 Description

• Support the growth and optimization of Passport's transportation network • Analyze shipment volumes, lanes, pickup locations, weights, pallet counts, capacity, service requirements, and transportation costs • Develop data-driven routing recommendations covering carriers, transportation modes, consolidation strategies, and pickup structures • Identify opportunities to combine pickup locations, optimize pickup frequency, consolidate freight, and improve truck and trailer utilization • Analyze shifts between domestic ground parcel, LTL, and FTL transportation • Model alternative transportation scenarios and quantify financial and operational impacts • Maintain routing analyses and recommendations for Logistics leadership review • Analyze transportation data from TMS, carrier reporting, shipment history, and internal systems • Build and maintain KPI reporting for transportation cost, capacity utilization, pickup and delivery performance, and carrier compliance • Perform lane-, carrier-, and mode-level cost analysis • Identify root causes of cost increases, underutilized capacity, service failures, and routing inefficiencies • Translate complex transportation data into recommendations for Logistics leadership and cross-functional stakeholders • Identify and track transportation cost-saving opportunities • Develop financial analyses and business cases for carrier, routing, mode, and network changes • Support carrier sourcing, RFPs, negotiations, rate and invoice validation, and benchmarking • Monitor carrier performance, routing compliance, service failures, capacity constraints, and missed pickups • Support carrier scorecards, performance analyses, business reviews, and evaluations • Support implementation of approved carrier, routing, and network changes • Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Technology, and external transportation partners • Report to the Logistics Director within the Commercial organization

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, transportation analytics, freight brokerage, carrier operations, or a related field • Working knowledge of parcel, LTL, and FTL transportation; first- and middle-mile experience strongly preferred • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience using large datasets to identify trends, evaluate alternatives, and develop actionable recommendations • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data manipulation, and cost modeling • Experience combining, cleaning, and analyzing data from multiple sources • Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools is a plus • Experience with transportation analysis such as routing, lane analysis, freight consolidation, load utilization, cost modeling, or carrier performance analysis preferred • Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) or similar logistics technology preferred • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally • Proactive and highly accountable, with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively and use data to recommend better solutions
