📋 Description

• Review and approve new project setups. • Monitor work-in-progress by reviewing project labour, expenses, and disbursements. • Process project billing in accordance with company revenue recognition policies. • Prepare pre-billing documentation and complete timely invoicing. • Post accounting entries and coordinate invoice distribution. • Maintain project records, including contracts and supporting documentation. • Investigate variances and provide reports and recommendations to management. • Collaborate with Project Managers to identify additional billing opportunities. • Track funding and advise Project Managers on budget utilization and remaining funding. • Review and investigate expenses that have not been billed to clients. • Support project closeout activities and account reconciliation upon project completion. • Assist with internal audits and other financial reporting requirements as needed. • Support billing activities for projects across the organization while partnering with Project Managers and internal stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. • 2+ years of accounting, project accounting, billing, or related financial experience. • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word. • Experience working with ERP systems; Deltek Vision experience is considered an asset. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Depending on the assignment, clients may require Government security screening, criminal record verification, or periodic drug and alcohol testing. • Background information verification over the previous five years including Canadian residency may be required.
