📋 Description

• Review all incoming laboratory and other clinical results • Flag urgent and emergent results for review by the ordering or on-call physician • Coordinate appropriate follow-up with physicians and other care team members, including PAs, CAs, and PCCs • Sort and file results within the EMR • Monitor incoming pharmacy faxes for prescription refills or clarification • Coordinate management of pharmacy faxes with physicians and care team members • Organize and process incoming patient referrals • Document actions taken in patient charts • Communicate with patients about upcoming appointments • Assist PAs, CAs, and the referrals clerk as required • Participate in staff and medical meetings • Provide clinical team coverage during weekends, holidays, evenings, and periods of increased volume

🎯 Requirements

• Current licensure in a Canadian province or territory • Strong clinical knowledge and knowledge of medical terminology • Strong clinical judgment • Knowledge and integrity in handling protected health information in compliance with HIPAA/PHIPA/PIPEDA guidelines • High level of professionalism, including confidentiality, documentation, and organization • Awareness of various medical specialties • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changes • Ability to work independently and as a team member • Computer knowledge using Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Google Drive/Docs/Spreadsheets/Calendar, Adobe, and EMR-related software • Greater than 3 years of experience in clinical environments
