📋 Description

• Provide advice and support and manage the administration of occupational and non-occupational injury and illness across the territory. • Support ministry units in using case management software and assist with processing and case managing occupational and non-occupational matters. • Coordinate timely processing and case management of illness/injury claims with third-party providers. • Work with HRBPs, Ministry Units, HR Service Centre, and HR Operations on coding, reporting, compliance, and return-to-work planning. • Manage and track active absence-related cases and maintain accurate records using case management software. • Provide guidance on disability policies, sick leave procedures, WCB/WCA provisions, claim disputes, and appeals. • Support special projects, training, and educational sessions related to absence management and workers' compensation. • Assist with quarterly absence reports and develop manuals and operational procedures. • Partner with the Benefits team on legislative and policy compliance and new policy or program development. • Advise leaders on return-to-work programs and assist with modified or graduated return-to-work plans. • Assist Ministry Units with system inquiries and disability-related content and processes. • Develop and deliver wellness programs and serve as a wellness ambassador, promoting EFAP resources.

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a university degree in Health & Safety, Disability and Absence management. • A minimum of 3-5 years of prior related experience, including consulting in a relevant area. • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. • Bilingualism in French and English is preferred for this position both written and verbal. • Ability to maintain, in strictest confidence, confidential information. • Tech savvy, advanced skills in MO. • Independent and creative. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Attention to detail.
