📋 Description

• Support the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Territorial Health and Safety Program • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes across jurisdictions and lines of business • Oversee portfolio initiatives, timelines, and communication plans • Provide subject matter expertise on health and safety matters • Establish performance measures, metrics, and reporting frameworks • Evaluate program and service effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative analysis • Partner with Divisional leaders and management teams to provide guidance, coaching, and support • Develop and deliver communication, change management, education, and training initiatives • Prepare strategic recommendations and presentations for senior leadership • Support special projects as required

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of university degree or equivalent with health & safety or related focus • Has or is working towards a professional designation, such as CRSP, is an asset • Minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, including consulting experience • Experience working as a Health & Safety Specialist/advisor in a national/multi-provincial organization • Experience launching new online processes integrated into H&S/HRIS systems • Commitment to The Salvation Army’s mission, values, and culture • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Proven change management capabilities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to identify and mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement • Exceptional organizational and project management skills • High standards of professionalism, integrity, judgment, discretion, and confidentiality • Commitment to compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, and best practices
