📋 Description

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases (19c and newer) across multiple environments • Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations • Implement backup/recovery strategies and disaster recovery solutions • Monitor database performance and tune SQL, memory, and storage • Manage database security, roles, and access controls • Support PDB/CDB architecture and database consolidation strategies • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle APEX and ORDS environments • Manage APEX schemas, users, and workspace configurations • Support APEX application deployments and lifecycle management • Troubleshoot APEX performance, session management, and runtime issues • Configure ORDS connections, pools, and security integration • Support integration between APEX and enterprise systems • Manage DEV, QA, and PROD environments • Support WebLogic or application server configurations for APEX/ORDS • Coordinate database and application upgrades with cross-functional teams • Maintain environment consistency and deployment standards • Support capacity planning and performance testing initiatives • Provide Tier 3 support for database and APEX incidents • Monitor system health and proactively resolve issues • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response • Develop automation scripts for deployments, monitoring, and maintenance • Improve DBA operational processes and documentation • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines for database and APEX deployments • Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements

🎯 Requirements

• 5–10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience • Strong experience with Oracle APEX and ORDS administration • Deep knowledge of Oracle 19c+ database architecture • Deep knowledge of PL/SQL, performance tuning, and troubleshooting • Experience with Linux/Unix environments • Experience with backup/recovery strategies (RMAN) • Experience with database upgrades and migrations • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex environments • Preferred: experience with Oracle Data Guard • Preferred: experience with WebLogic or similar middleware platforms • Preferred: integration with enterprise systems (EBS, APIs, identity management) • Preferred: knowledge of cloud platforms (OCI preferred) • Preferred: familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools and automation frameworks • Preferred: experience supporting APEX in high-availability, multi-instance environments • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration • Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior DBAs • Detail-oriented with strong ownership mindset • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Bachelor's Degree
