📋 Description

• Provide payroll accounting, funding, and financial analysis support to Strada clients across Canada and the United States • Perform payroll-to-General Ledger reconciliations for Canadian and U.S. payroll populations • Prepare bank and funding reconciliations using payroll, banking, and third-party payment data • Analyze payroll variances, accounting discrepancies, and compliance issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend resolutions • Prepare or support journal vouchers, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments • Analyze financial, operational, and compliance risks and provide recommendations • Provide functional support for payroll accounting and funding issues, including researching system defects and coordinating resolution • Support implementations, go-lives, year-end activities, and delivery of payroll accounting and GL files and documents • Respond to client, vendor, and internal inquiries regarding payroll accounting, funding, treasury, and financial processes • Support internal and external audits and help ensure appropriate controls are established and followed • Maintain Defined Work Instructions, process documentation, procedures, and controls • Partner with payroll processing teams, Operations, Product, and other internal groups to resolve issues and improve service delivery • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced controls • Participate in knowledge sharing, training, and coaching • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and financial information

🎯 Requirements

• Accounting experience is required, with hands-on payroll accounting experience supporting both Canadian and U.S. payroll • Demonstrated understanding of payroll accounting processes and financial requirements in both Canada and the United States • Payroll financial reporting, payroll funding, or payroll reconciliation experience preferred • 1-3 years of experience using Workday or a similar payroll, ERP, or accounting system • Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and payroll accounting processes • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related financial systems • Ability to analyze financial issues, identify root causes, assess risk, and make sound recommendations • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain SLA and client commitments in a fast-paced environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while following established processes, procedures, and controls • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a global environment • Current and future work authorization in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship by Strada • Successful completion of applicable background checks
