📋 Description

• Develop and execute sustainability plans for the Canadian market aligned with Sysco’s global strategic framework and local regulatory requirements. • Identify opportunities to integrate sustainability into core business processes and operations. • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance sustainability objectives. • Partner with merchandising, operations, technology, and marketing teams to embed sustainability into decision-making. • Support broader North America growth initiatives, including customer sustainability solutions, commercial storytelling, and best practices. • Grow the One Planet, One Table sustainable assortment in Canada. • Lead Sysco Canada’s Emerging Supplier Program, initially focusing on Indigenous vendors through Pathways to Procurement. • Drive Sysco Canada’s sustainability messaging and stakeholder engagement activities. • Support local and national sales teams with sustainability collateral, RFP responses, and targeted strategies for key customers. • Serve as escalation point for complex issues and customer requests overseen by the sustainability coordinator. • Act as sustainability subject matter expert for customer-facing initiatives including food donations, waste management, fleet optimization, and facilities strategies. • Establish processes to track sustainability initiatives, analyze impact, and report results to leadership. • Ensure ongoing program improvement through feedback, data-driven insights, and cross-functional collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred. • 7+ years of experience in sustainability strategy, program management, or related roles, ideally within foodservice or consumer goods. • Strong knowledge of Canadian sustainability regulations. • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence senior stakeholders. • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is preferred. • Candidates must be located in Canada.
