• Prospecting to identify new firms interested in Thomson Reuters on-line products/services • Creating and implementing plans for effective coverage of assigned territory • Preparing and tracking effectiveness of account plans; Forecasting sales • Generating sales growth by pursuing new prospects and following up on leads • Building relationships with existing customers to support retention strategies • Providing client/prospect data for the CRM system • Reporting weekly/monthly on sales activity, market trends, and competitor information
• A university degree (business or professional) or equivalent business experience • Ability to develop new customer accounts requiring heavy prospecting and cold calling • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong organization and time management skills • Highly proficient in MS Office suite and utilizing a CRM (Salesforce preferred) • Knowledge of the legal framework within Canada will be considered an asset
