📋 Description

• Lead a new team delivering Unity platform support for an Android-based ecosystem spanning mobile to laptop form factors • Enable Unity developers to deploy titles across devices while leveraging device-specific characteristics • Collaborate actively with the platform partner to define and consistently deliver agreed-upon deliverables • Collaborate with Unity Core Engine, Platform, and Graphics teams on cross-functional technical workstreams • Communicate the team’s vision and progress internally and externally • Foster a high-performance, supportive culture through mentoring and coaching • Guide team members’ professional development and career growth • Research and deliver runtime optimizations to improve Unity game startup and performance on low- and high-specification devices • Establish benchmarks and collaborate with internal and external experts to analyze Unity Engine performance • Align with stakeholders to implement measured improvements • Leverage AI workflows in analysis and delivery where appropriate • Enable targeted AI workflows for developers

🎯 Requirements

• Experience developing and managing a high-performance software engineering team • Proven technical knowledge of Android platform technologies across native C/C++, Java, and Kotlin layers • Demonstrated success collaborating with internal Product Owners and external partners to align benchmarks, technical specifications, and interdependencies • Expertise as a software engineer, with working familiarity with C++, C#, and Java • Ability to assimilate and understand a large and complex software product • English proficiency sufficient for professional verbal and written communication • Familiarity with real-time 3D rendering techniques and graphics APIs, including Vulkan (optional) • Methodical approach to prioritizing and developing innovative optimization solutions (optional) • Passion for the future of computer games or real-time 3D experiences (optional) • Experience leading remote teams using Agile development methodologies (optional) • Familiarity with when and how to use AI most effectively in the software development process (optional)
